Last weekend I went to Monaco for the Top Marques event (thanks to AutoJunior) and just to have a good time as well. The density of special cars in Monaco is uneven and includes many AMGs. One already more special than the other. Last saturday a 350 units limited SL 65 AMG Black Series from Andorra drove through the narrow streets of Monte Carlo. What’s specific for the SL 65 AMG Black Series is that the roof is fixed in contrast to all other R230 models. Dropping the foldable roof is one of the factors that contributed to a reduced weight of 250 kg. 14 cm wider wheelarches improve grip levels and gives the characteristic looks of the SL Black Series. The M275 6,0 liter V12 suplies 670 hp and 1.200 Nm in the SL 65 AMG Black Series. The launch price in Belgium was €364.000 inculding 21% taxes.
