The end of the year is coming near … the perefect moment to have a look on the AMGs we ‘lost’ this year. What was your favourite?

AMG GT pre-facelift

In January Mercedes-AMG introduced the facelift of the AMG GT coupé. Main change was the introduction  of the Panamerica grille and the introduction of the GT C Coupé. Some people still claim the old grille looks better than the new one.

CLS 63 AMG

Mercedes just anounced the third generation of the CLS. This means the end for the CLS 63 (S) AMG four-door coupé. The Shooting Brake remains in production. Rumours say that the new CLS will not be available as 63-AMG, as the new GT 4 four-door will take this role. Althoug a 53 ‘light’-AMG will belong to the possibilities.

Update 02/01: apperently also the CLS Shooting Brake is only available from stock.

G 65 AMG

Mercedes is introducing an all new G-Class next year. Therefore Mercedes-AMG is currently building the last pieces of the G 65 AMG In Final Edition trim. There’s no news yet on how long the current G 63 AMG will still be produced but don’t be suprised if the orderbook is already full. The W463 G 65 AMG was anyway a very rare object and not many decided to choose for this overpowered G 65 with 630 hp. More G-Class history on this page.
