To ‘celebrate’ the discontinuation of the Mercedes-AMG G 65, Mercedes is offering 65 final pieces as the “Final Edition”. Compared with the G 63 AMG, the G 65 AMG is rather rare but that does not stop the fact that almost 1 out of three sold G-Wagons has an AMG engine. No changes to the engine for the G 65 AMG Final Edition: 1.000 Nm and 630 hp. What’s specific for the Final Edition:
- 21‑inch 5‑twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in bronze
- Silver brake callipers
- AMG Sport trim strips on the sides
- Matt bronze accents: underride guard, trim elements in the bumpers, the wheels and exterior mirrors
- Spare wheel cover in obsidian black
- Radiator grille with black mesh screen and surround painted in matt bronze
- Running boards and tailpipes in matt black
- Protective strips in high-gloss black
- Seat side bolsters in a carbon-fibre look and topstitching in light brown
- Milled Edition lettering in the grab handle
- Floor mats with leather edging in light brown and topstitching in black
Mercedes is currently working on an updated G-Wagon, so don’t be surprised that AMG will announce shortly that also the G 63 won’t be available anymore. Grab your chance. The full G-Class AMG history is available here.
