Mercedes-Benz discontinued the convertible variant of the G-Wagon back in 2013 with a 200 units limited “Final Edition 200”. To celebrate 50 years of AMG, Mercedes decided to rebuilt the G convertible but in a rather extreme concept: the G 65 AMG 4×4². It’s a reasonable guess, but the license plate speaks volumes. The new variant demonstrates once again that the G-Wagon is alive more than ever. After the G 63 AMG 6×6 and the G 500 4×4², the new variant will be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show beginning of March.

Update: The new model will be sold under the Mercedes-Maybach brand (G 650 Landaulet).
