As the current Mercedes A, CLA and GLA are built on the same platform we chose to combine the AMG history of these models on the same page. In line with the AMG history of other Mercedes models, the A-class AMG history also houses some suprises. Only diehards will remember that there was an A-class AMG of the W168 generation that even has 2 engines (one in the front and one in the back) giving the A 38 AMG a power of 250 hp. Much below the 381 hp output of the 2 liter engine of the current A/CLA/GLA 45 AMG that opened AMG ownership to a much younger public. Find below the full AMG timeline for the A, CLA and GLA and definetely go to the overview page for more details.

I’m a huge fan of Mercedes Benz and Mercedes-AMG, i was reading the article of the A Class through the years, and just to complete the website, some other exclusive editions are missing, there was e exclusive version in Japan of the AMG A45 – Petronas Green edition that is very rare https://carfromjapan.com/specifications/mercedes-benz/a-class/581b9a842afaa2c4b287b650, a A45 Night and Yellow edition https://www.mercedescarlease.com/mercedes-a45-4matic-yellow-night-edition/ and also in GLA A45 and a A250 Petronas Edition
